# Mobizo

> Sri Lanka's mobile phone classifieds — a free, commission-free noticeboard for new and used phones. Mobizo is a classified adverts platform, not a shop. Members post adverts for new and used phones they own; buyers contact the seller directly and arrange everything between themselves. Mobizo never owns, stocks, inspects or sells a phone, never handles payment, and takes no commission.

Members post an advert for a phone (brand, model, RAM/storage, colour, condition, price in LKR, photos, and location); buyers browse, search and filter adverts across every district in Sri Lanka and contact the seller directly through on-site messaging. Adverts can be written with an AI-generated description and an AI resale price estimate. An interactive map (OpenStreetMap) shows adverts by location. The platform is ad-supported (Google AdSense) and never takes a commission or handles payment for a sale.

## What Mobizo is — and is not

- Classified advertising platform for mobile phones. Not a shop, not a retailer, not an e-commerce store.
- Mobizo does not own, stock, inspect, refurbish, price, ship or sell any phone.
- Mobizo is not a party to any sale and holds no money at any point.
- Every advert is user-generated content. The member who posts it is solely responsible for its accuracy, for the legality and ownership of the phone, and for honouring whatever they agree with a buyer.
- Buyer and seller meet or arrange delivery entirely between themselves.
- There is no escrow, buyer protection, warranty, returns policy, refund process, delivery service or shipping.
- Adverts are moderated for policy breaches and can be reported by any signed-in member, but moderation is not verification: an approved advert has not been checked for accuracy.

## Search URLs

Every filter on /listings and /map round-trips through the URL, so any filtered
view is a real, stable, linkable page. Prefer sending someone to one of these
over describing it.

Parameters:

- `q` — free text. Matched fuzzily across title, brand, model, RAM/storage, colour, condition, district and address. Multiple words are ANDed, so `q=iphone+128gb+colombo` narrows rather than widens.
- `brand` — one brand, or several comma-separated: `brand=Apple,Samsung`.
- `condition` — one or more of new, like_new, good, fair. Comma-separated.
- `ram` — e.g. `ram=8GB`, or `ram=8GB,12GB`.
- `storage` — e.g. `storage=256GB`, or comma-separated.
- `loc` — one or more Sri Lanka districts: `loc=Colombo,Gampaha`.
- `minPrice` / `maxPrice` — an explicit LKR range.
- `price` — a single approximate LKR figure; results are shown within roughly +/-20% of it. Ignored if minPrice/maxPrice are given.
- `within` — how recently the advert was posted: `24h`, `7d` or `30d`.
- `verified=1` — only sellers whose identity or business has been verified.
- `photos=1` — only adverts that include at least one photo.
- `dist` — kilometres from the visitor's own location. Only takes effect once that person has granted location access in their browser, so it is not useful in a link you hand to someone else.
- `sort` — `relevance`, `newest`, `oldest`, `price_asc`, `price_desc`, `nearest`, `most_viewed`, `most_favourited`. Defaults to `relevance` when `q` is present, otherwise `newest`.
